VSP has stated that it will match employee donations to the Australian Red Cross. The total offering of disaster relief is valued up to AU$250,000
Resources are also available for individuals who have lost or damaged their glasses due to the severe conditions. VSP Vision Care will replace glasses that have been lost or damaged at no cost through the VSP Eyes of Hope disaster relief program. Individuals in need can request a gift certificate at vsp-australia.com.au/outreach. The certificates can be redeemed at any VSP network practice, and VSP optometrists will be reimbursed at retail value for the eyewear provided, up to AU$200 per patient. The initiative is intended to assist both individuals and VSP network optometrists.
