Vision Eye Institute will increase the number of procedures undertaken, including laser refractive consultations and procedures, in line with Federal and State Government decisions to ease elective surgery restrictions. Virtual refractive consultations and telehealth consultations will remain operational.
In order to continue patient support and ensure wellbeing, Vision Eye Institute has implemented precautionary measures across all surgeries and practices. These measures will remain in place to facilitate the gradual easing of restrictions and ensure risk of disease transmission is minimised.

Measures include the restriction of practice hours and prioritising non-routine or emergency consultations. All clinics and day surgeries will continue to observe strict social distancing practices and, in some instances, routine consultations will be postponed or performed via a telehealth service.
Vision Eye Institute remains contactable via phone and encourages referrers to contact the clinics directly for any information regarding potential changes to patient appointments.
All patients who attend for an appointment or surgery will be asked relevant COVID-19 related questions. Vision Eye Institute asks that patients do not visit clinics if they show any COVID-19 symptoms and that they attend appointments or surgery with no more than one carer.
