The American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) 38th annual scientific meeting, scheduled for 24–28 July 2020, will switch to a virtual format due to COVID-19 concerns.

In a statement, ASRS President Dr Timothy Murray and Program Chair Dr Philip Ferrone said, “Knowing that the most important developments in retina are presented at our Annual Meeting, we plan to deliver the latest research to the global community using a virtual format that respects the contributions of the authors.”
The live streaming portion of the event will commence on the afternoon of Friday 24 July and end on the afternoon of Sunday, 26 July (Seattle time). Refunds for registration fees are being processed.
The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology announced virtual alternatives for their May events.
