mivision Issue 157 June 2020

Well, here we are, heading at rapid speed towards the start of a new financial year and I can only imagine that for many people and practices, it can’t come fast enough.

It’s been an extremely tough first half of 2020. The challenges from health, human resource, business and financial perspectives have, as we keep hearing, been unprecedented.

So, for this issue we’ve lightened things up with some heart-warming stories about great Australians – innovators, philanthropists and creatives – who are making a difference in Australia and overseas.

We’ve also consulted with clinical and business experts to bring you practical ideas on how you can begin driving your business forward having weathered the COVID-19 storm.

And, of course we have a great diversity of CPD topics to capture your interest – from the latest approach to treating Fuchs’ endothelial dystrophy, currently being studied in Australia, through to maximising the potential of children with low vision and blindness, and on to navigating the challenges of spectacle lens measurements.

Wherever you are, whatever you are currently doing – whether you’re back in full time practice, working part time, or planning your come-back, I wish you, your colleagues and families health, happiness and prosperity as we move into the next financial year.

Resilience is everything.

Enjoy!
