OVVO’s Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) collection has been recognised with a prestigious 2020 Red Dot Design Award for design excellence.
The DLC Collection incorporates an innovative nanotechnology coating used in industries from aeronautics to auto-racing. Applied with an amorphous film, DLC coating adopts the highly resistant qualities of diamond – it’s “thinner than paper, harder than diamond, stronger than steel and slicker than Teflon” for outstanding scratch resistance and durability.
OVVO says to date, it’s the first and only eyewear brand to incorporate DLC coating, which is stacked in individual atoms on the surface of six signature styles of its stainless steel and titanium composite frames.
