CooperVision Expands MyDay Toric Parameters

CooperVision has announced expanded parameters for MyDay toric, enabling optometrists the opportunity to fit an even greater number of astigmatic patients in a premium silicone hydrogel 1-day contact lens. The lenses are now available in around-the-clock axes1 in the most commonly prescribed sphere powers.

“CooperVision is known around the world for our toric contact lens innovation and performance. These new MyDay toric parameters expand our commitment to providing a wide range of stable, comfortable silicone hydrogel 1-day toric options for astigmatic patients,” said Joe Tanner, Professional Services Manager, ANZ. “From sphere to toric to multifocal, and in every modality, CooperVision continues to offer the broadest range of soft contact lenses in the industry.”2

MyDay toric lenses combine the proven design features of Biofinity toric with the premium silicone hydrogel 1-day material of MyDay. This proven toric technology, Optimised Toric Lens Geometry, provides uniform horizontal ISO thickness, an optimised ballast band design, a large toric optic zone, and a smooth, continuous surface to make it an easy-to-fit, stable lens. Additionally, the MyDay family of lenses is made with Aquaform Technology, which provides a balance of high oxygen permeability, high water content, and optimum modulus for increased breathability and moisture in a soft, flexible lens. And while the lens provides optimal comfort, it remains strong enough to ensure exceptional handling. Built-in UV protection filters 85% of UVA and 96% of UVB rays, helping support long-term ocular health.

To help streamline the fitting process and minimise chair time, CooperVision also offers the OptiExpert fitting app. The easy-to-use app includes a toric calculator which calculates the recommended trial lenses.
