Additionally, this new lens technology has been designed to minimise environmental impact.

The Secrets Behind Metaform
Metaform is a nano-structure lens manufacturing technology that offers a new breed of super-powered lenses with all the optical features and coating built in.
The lens material is manufactured by rapidly fusing a Preform™ overlay, which contains a super resistant optical film often used in the auto, aviation, and space industries due to its impact resistance.
This technology results in a new lens that is up to 18 times stronger than the FDA standard requirements and up to 40% thinner and lighter than standard minus lenses.
As a consequence, Metaform overcomes the common need in optics to trade safety for aesthetics, and fast service for high quality.
Additionally, the Metaform production process is up to 80% more energy efficient than many of the alternatives, using minimal water, chemical and energy consumption, leaving the smallest possible ecological footprint to minimise its impact on the environment.
