Johnson & Johnson Vision will launch Acuvue Oasys Multifocal with Pupil Optimised Design at virtual events for optometrists and practice managers in Australia and New Zealand.
The launch events, on 8 and 9 March, will provide valuable insights into the opportunities for practices and patients that come with correcting presbyopia using multifocal contact lenses. Attendees will hear from Hirdesh Nair, optometrist and Professional Development Manager ANZ for JnJ Vision Care, about the technology behind this latest innovation and the steps required for clinical success. Mr Nair’s presentation will include advice on leveraging the fitting guide to optimise the initial lens pair, as well as choosing the optimal enhancements for distance and near vision (when required).

About the Speakers
Hirdesh Nair is the current Professional Development Manager ANZ for JnJ Vision Care. His key focus is to support optometry with education to grow the contact lens category for the entire profession. Mr Nair blends professional education with commercial acumen due to his previous roles such as professional services manager, optometry learning and development consultant and contact lens buyer.
Dr Margaret Lam is the Head of Professional Services at George and Matilda (G&M) Eyecare. Dr Lam started her optometry practices, theeyecarecompany by George and Matilda, across Sydney, Australia, in 2005. With extensive expertise in specialty contact lens fitting, including orthokeratology, keratoconus and all types of corneal ectasia, she sees patients for primary eye care as well as specialty contact lenses. Dr Lam has also worked in several advisory roles with leading contact lens companies, and writes for the optometry journal mivision. She has published articles in Australian Optometry, and Clinical and Experimental Optometry. Recently Dr Lam was appointed Deputy President of Optometry Australia Board of Directors.
