The International Myopia Institute (IMI) and optical technology innovator Hoya Vision Care, have announced a strategic partnership to promote advocacy, advance research, and educational efforts in the global fight to address and manage myopia.
IMI Chair, Professor Serge Resnikoff welcomed Hoya on behalf of the IMI, saying much remains to be done to raise myopia awareness and encourage the practise of evidence-based myopia management among eye care practitioners.
“The eye care profession plays a dominant role to educate the general public and make them aware of the impact of this progressive eye disease and the available management approaches. Early prevention and treatment are the keys to manage this ocular condition,” he said. “We look forward to work with Hoya and all our sponsors in sharing the knowledge and latest findings in the myopia field globally.”
