The opening of two new Bailey Nelson retail stores – in Botany Town Centre and Sylvia Park, in Auckland – marks the beginning of the brand’s plan to expand across New Zealand. The new stores bring New Zealand’s store total to ten, and 99 globally.
Bailey Nelson Botany will be run by manager Pooja Tiwari, while the Sylvia Park store will be run by manager Kahui Te Are, with optometrist Jong Keum leading eye care.
We see excellent growth opportunities in Auckland and New Zealand at large and have plans to greatly expand our footprint in the region over the coming two years
“Customers to Bailey Nelson Sylvia Park can have it all – value, style, quality, optometry care and great service. I am proud to bring Bailey Nelson’s quality frames, unique designs, and outstanding clinical care to this part of Auckland,” said Kahui Te Are.
Both stores will offer eye tests at least five days a week and will be equipped with an OPTOS machine. As well as this, all New Zealand stores are now showcasing Bailey Nelson’s new range extension, which introduces 71 new frames to the existing collection, offering wide and narrow variations in an array of new colourways. All frames are designed in Sydney.
Peter Winkle, Bailey Nelson co-founder, said the opening of the two major stores in Auckland are a sign of things to come across the country.
“Our new locations in Sylvia Park and Botany Town Centre will not only appeal to our core demographic; they will help to connect our brand with Auckland’s outer suburbs and a more diverse consumer base.
“We see excellent growth opportunities in Auckland and New Zealand at large and have plans to greatly expand our footprint in the region over the coming two years. People value great eyecare and beautiful designs at fair prices, and we look forward to spreading the word on what we offer to all New Zealanders,” said Mr Winkle.
