Gearing Up for SILMO

SILMO Paris, the optical and eyewear trade fair held at Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre, is gearing up for four days of business, discussion and inspiration from 23-26 September 2022. With the objective to initiate projects, collaborations, ideas and business, this year’s installation will unite industry members in-person for the first time since 2019.

Featuring a future-orientated theme, all the current and emerging technologies, trends and expertise will be on show. Attendees can expect to meet and engage with creators, designers, and other industry experts, while learning about, and being exposed to, the latest in optical innovation and eyewear design.

Within the trade show, SILMO Next presents a laboratory of ideas and a space for multidisciplinary exchanges, where a showcase of creation and innovation is structured around five spaces that project attendees into a ‘techno-responsible future’. The idea is to recognise the importance of technology, while also discussing the need to act responsibly in this emerging sphere.

The event will also include the highly regarded SILMO d’Or which recognises the talent and creativity of the entire sector with awards presented to leaders in design, innovation, manufacture and more. This celebration has been described as “an unmissable event” since its launch in 1994.

SILMO is expected to draw in upwards of 53,000 visitors and 1,600 exhibitors, to the fashion capital of Paris, France, to form the world’s largest optical community. To be a part of the action, industry members can register to obtain their badge at silmoparis.com.
