VEI Returns with New SHARED VISION Webinars 29 March and 6 September, 6–7:30 pm

Vision Eye Institute (VEI) has announced the return of its national webinar series ‘SHARED VISION’, which will offer “clinical pearls relevant to day-to-day optometric practice”.

Attendees at the first webinar, to be held via Zoom on the evening of Wednesday 29 March, will hear from the highly-experienced ophthalmologists Dr Christolyn Raj, Dr Rushmia Karim and Dr Alex Ioannidis. A question-and-answer session will be moderated by Dr Lewis Levitz.

The session, entitled ‘Cataracts and neuro-ophthalmology’, will focus on managing cataracts in patients with co-existing conditions

The session, entitled ‘Cataracts and neuro-ophthalmology’, will focus on managing cataracts in patients with co-existing conditions, such as macular disease and corneal scarring. Additionally, it will provide insight into neuro cases.

Registration is free, with the webinar sponsored by Vision Hospital Group.

Optometry Australia accreditation has been approved for: 1.5 Institute of Excellence Quality Assured CPD hours.

The second webinar in the SHARED VISION series will take place on the evening of Wednesday, 6 September, again via Zoom.

At this webinar, Dr Jason Cheng, Dr Simon Chen, and Professor Colin Chan will present on the topic, ‘Glaucoma, retina, and refractive surgery’. A question-and-answer session will be moderated by Associate Professor Michael Lawless.

Registrations for the second webinar will open on 6 August 2023.

With comments from the VEI 2022 seminars including, “Take home points are most beneficial” and “The best three lectures I have attended so far this year – excellent speakers and content!”, interest in this new webinar series is expected to be high.
