The World Council of Optometry (WCO) has made presentations from its most recent virtual event available on its myopia management website.
The virtual event, Advancing the Global Standard of Care, was held in February in partnership with CooperVision, attracting 1,700 registrants from 123 countries.
Experts shared their insights on the global standard of care and how they have made myopia management an integral part of their work. The event also featured patient insights.
The WCO introduced the myopia management standard of care resolution in April 2021, defining an evidence-based standard of care comprised of the three main pillars of mitigation, measurement, and management.
WCO President-elect Dr Sandra Block said, “We know that optometrists worldwide are extremely busy with their practices and lives, limiting their time for watching webinars.
“To help support them, the World Council of Optometry is pleased to now offer the Advancing the Global Standard of Care virtual event videos on demand so eye care professionals can learn the latest about myopia management as the standard of care when it is convenient for them.”
