Highlights of Optometry Virtually Connected, Optometry Australia’s national education conference, have been announced.
Professor Andrew Turpin, Chair of Ophthalmic Data at the Lions Eye Institute and jointly appointed at Curtin University in Perth, will deliver the keynote address, exploring artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and why the flood of data now available in care settings is underutilised.
Professors Sharon Bentley, Fiona Stapleton and Isabelle Jalbert will deliver the plenary address on optometrists’ critical role in – and responsibility to contribute to – public health and indigenous health.
