An interactive dry eye disease tool, the ‘WCO Alcon Dry Eye Wheel’ has been developed by world-renowned educators Professors Jennifer Craig, Lyndon Jones, and James Wolffsohn, to easily reference the three pillars of mitigation, measurement, and management.
Designed to be accessible for the broadest possible use, World Council of Optometry (WCO) President-Elect Dr Sandra S. Block said the Wheel “will allow clinicians to integrate mitigation, measurement and management of dry eye disease into practice immediately”.
Alcon Global and US Head of Professional Education and Development Dr Carla Mack said, the Wheel “is a fantastic tool that aims to deliver a great deal of knowledge and an easy-to-apply approach in eye care practices worldwide”.
The WCO Alcon Dry Eye Wheel was launched at a free webinar with live faculty-attendee interaction, hosted by the WCO and Alcon on Tuesday 9 May.
The ‘Dry Eye Spotlight 4: WCO Alcon Dry Eye Wheel’ webinar was the final event in a dry eye disease education initiative to raise optometrists’ understanding of dry eye and deliver resources on practical management.
All 4 webinars in the series, ‘Dry Eye Spotlight 1: Mitigation’, ‘Dry Eye Spotlight 2: Measurement’, ‘Dry Eye Spotlight 3: Management’, and ‘Dry Eye Spotlight 4: Dry Eye Wheel’ are now available at dryeye.worldcouncilofoptometry.info.
