Vision Australia has partnered with Blind & Low Vision NZ to launch its online store in New Zealand.
The platform – available at shop.visionaustralia.org.nz – is a collaborative effort between the two organisations.
It offers a wide range of products to meet the needs of people with a vision impairment, such as assistive technology, mobility aids, and daily living aids.
“We are excited to launch this innovative e-commerce platform in partnership with Blind & Low Vision NZ,” said Michael Linke, General Manager of Commercial Services of Vision Australia.
“Our goal is to make online shopping more accessible and convenient for people with vision impairment, and we believe this platform will be a game-changer for many individuals and families in New Zealand.”
The platform features a range of accessibility features, including high-contrast layouts, screen reader compatibility, and alternative text for images.
It has been designed with input from people with vision impairment to ensure that it meets their specific needs and requirements.
