The Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA) Awards for Excellence will return in 2023, having been cancelled in 2021 due to the pandemic.
With the aim to acknowledge and reward the very best in fashion, innovation, and technology within the optical industry, the awards are open to all suppliers, distributors and manufacturers exhibiting at O=MEGA23.
A total of 13 award categories includes two new entry opportunities, one to recognize Australian businesses that have products or processes committed to achieving positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; and another to recognise Australian businesses that are employing environmentally sustainable business processes and/or manufacturing, or distributing sustainable eyewear and eye care products.
Other categories span optical frames, sunglasses, children’s and sports eyewear, lens design and coatings, instruments, accessories, point-of-sale, contact lenses, and over the counter product treatments.

Exhibitors are welcome to enter multiple categories, but entries must be submitted by Friday 7 July 2023.
Independent judging will take place in August with finalists announced in late-August. The award winners will have their entries on display at the O=MEGA23 trade fair and will be publicly recognised at the O=MEGA 23 welcome event on the evening of Friday 8 September.
