Australian designer Dave Allison has partnered with start-up eyewear company The AvantGuard to launch the Rewilding collection, comprising 11 new sunglass designs in three colourways made only using recycled, bio-degradable, and green plant-based acetates.
The AvantGuard adheres to small batch manufacturing, family run factories, and local employment, creating collections in micro batches that minimise waste and the overall carbon footprint. Production runs are maxed at 300 pieces per style.
Faiza Seth, founder of The AvantGuard said, “I’m really proud of this collection because it shows that fashion can be beautiful, on-trend and good for the planet”.
The AvantGuard is launching at SILMO in Paris from 29 September to 2 October.
