Renowned ophthalmologist Dr Jacqueline Beltz has developed a new range of makeup, specifically designed for people with eye conditions.
Dr Beltz said the Okkiyo range was suitable for contact lens wearers, as well as those with dry eye disease or allergies, as it avoids typical irritants.
The brand launched in early November with its hero product, Prioriteyes mascara.
The product had been “meticulously formulated so you no longer have to choose between dazzling mascara and the wellbeing of your eyes,” Dr Beltz said.
“Three years in the making, the Prioriteyes mascara is a featherlight and fabulous multipurpose mascara, which defines, volumises, nourishes, and protects eyelashes,” she said.
The mascara is also in a square tube, so it won’t roll away and potentially out of sight for people with low vision.
