Surgical Co-management: CCLSA Event Tuesday 6 February 2024

If you are keen to learn more about successful surgical co-management of anterior segment patients and managing keratoconus, look no further than the first live educational event to be hosted by the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) in 2024.

‘The Optometrists guide to surgical co-management and patient success’ will be held at the Novotel Darling Square in Sydney and, over dinner, will feature lectures from ophthalmologist Dr Alex Hamilton and optometrist Mark Koszek.

Anterior Segment Conditions

Dr Alex Hamilton will focus on the importance of co-management between ophthalmologists and optometrists in the treatment of anterior segment conditions. Over 90 minutes he will draw on case studies to provide strategies and highlight the benefits of collaboration, such as enhanced patient access to specialised care, improved compliance, and shared knowledge.

Managing Keratoconus

Mark Koszek will discuss strategies and provide useful tips to help you optimise the management of patients with keratoconus and irregular corneas. His presentation will include advice on specialty contact lens fitting including scleral lens fitting.
