Ocutrx Technologies has announced its ground-breaking augmented reality (AR) headset, for people living with advanced age-related macular degeneration, will be launched in the United States early this year.
OcuLenz uses AR and extended reality technology to overlay high contrast, pixel manipulated images onto the user’s remaining viable field of view.
The device significantly surpasses the capabilities of typical AR headsets and makes “the once unvisible visible”, Ocutrx said.
