Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI) has launched resources for eye care professionals (ECPs) to take part in Myopia Awareness Week, which runs from 13–19 May.
The theme of the awareness campaign is “Act Now, See Tomorrow”.
The worldwide event aims to raise awareness about juvenile-onset myopia and encourage eye care professionals to take necessary actions.
BHVI has officially launched a campaign website for the week-long event at bhvi.org/maw24/.
The ECP Toolkit features a variety of promotional resources for practitioners to show their support of Myopia Awareness Week
The two main components of the website are the ECP Toolkit and the ECP Clinical Resources, both of which are valuable for practitioners during Myopia Awareness Week and beyond.
The ECP Toolkit features a variety of promotional resources for practitioners to show their support of Myopia Awareness Week online, including printable updated versions of the International Myopia Institute’s Myopia Infographic, and BHVI’s Myopia Management Guidelines.
Similarly, the ECP Clinical Resources include several tools for practitioners to keep in practice to improve their myopia care.
The campaign will be using the hashtags #MyopiaAwarenessWeek and #MAW2024.
