Attorney-General Visits CR Labs

A visit to CR Labs by AttorneyGeneral, the Hon Mark Dreyfus, has highlighted the “pivotal role” of independent Australian optometrists in the nation’s eye care landscape.

Mr Dreyfus toured the CR Labs facilities in April. While there, he discussed the importance of fostering a robust Australian community and supporting local businesses.

With a keen interest in CR Labs’ operations and ethos, he recognised the significance of initiatives aimed at bolstering the nation’s economic resilience.

Adam Fletcher, CEO at CR Labs, said the AttorneyGeneral’s visit “underscores the shared commitment to nurturing Australian talent and industry, reinforcing the vital role of independent Australian optometrists in ensuring quality eye care services for all Australians”.

The Attorney-General acknowledged CR Labs’ support of local independent optometry businesses, that play a pivotal role in enhancing accessibility to essential eye care services across the nation.

He also expressed his full support for CR Labs’ new export initiatives, recognising them as a significant step towards expanding the company’s global footprint.

Mr Dreyfus said these initiatives are not only a testament to CR Labs’ innovation and expertise but also a positive sign for the future of the company.

CR Labs recently made an AU$500,000 investment in the high-tech lens testing facility. The company is Australia’s largest manufacturing lens laboratory
