Rocket Man by Cutler and Gross
Winner Over $300 Sunglasses
To create this frame, Cutler and Gross designers turned to one of the company’s archive frames first worn by Elton John. By reworking it through a modern lens, they came up with Rocketman (model 9126). The eccentric silhouette pairs a curved brow line with angular lugs and chamfering. Features of this frame, which is handmade in Italy, include horizontal oyster frontal pins, five-barrel hinges, compass star temple pins, hazard core wire, a gold foil logo inside the temple, and minimal temple tips.
