Revo is re-entering the premium sunglass market in Australia and New Zealand, launching a new joint venture subsidiary known as Revo Asia Pacific Pty Ltd.
The new joint venture will be managed by three industry veterans: Cliff Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of Revo globally; Tony Liddy, Acme Chairman and the current Revo distributor; and Richard Hoare, former Vice President of Maui Jim Asia Pacific.
“Australia has been on the radar as a strategic target market for some time given the demand for quality sunglasses and we’re excited to launch this new joint venture,” Mr Robinson told mivision. “Revo has a rich heritage and a fiercely loyal customer base, and we’re thrilled to have partnered with Tony and Richard to now service Australian and New Zealand customers directly.”
Established in 1985 and featuring NASA lens technology, the Revo brand continues to be a key player within the technical lens sector thanks to the use of its exclusive technology. The collection covers multiple segments of the market including fashion, sport performance, and men’s and women’s lifestyle eyewear crafted from premium materials. All Revo sunglasses are now available through a unique Rx program featuring genuine Revo lenses that are a 100% match to that of the NASA developed Revo plano lenses.
“While the Australian and New Zealand regions will be the initial focus, we anticipate expanding distribution to other markets within the Asia Pacific area over time,” said Mr Hoare.
Revo sunglasses are available through select optical and sun specialty outlets and lifestyle retailers from 1 September 2024.
