Optometry NSW/ACT will combine its successful Super Sunday event with ODMAFair25, with the two events being held under the same roof at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Sydney’s Darling Harbour next June.
Announcing the collaboration, Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association of Australia (ODMA) CEO Amanda Trotman said she was “very focussed on collaboration that assists like-minded optical organisations to work together to stage these valuable live events whilst at the same time reducing overall overheads given the economies of scale and the high cost of staging live events”.
“These events running alongside each other help attract attendance to all the components, which benefits us all,” Ms Trotman said.
Andrew McKinnon, CEO of Optometry New South Wales/ACT, said having ODMAFair and Super Sunday “together under the ICC roof gives optometrists from all over Australia the best possible reason to spend the weekend in Sydney”.
The conjunction of the two events within the ICC means that delegates can move easily between both at their leisure and, quite literally, enjoy the best of both worlds…
“ODMAFair is, of course, the premier optical fair in the southern hemisphere and Super Sunday provides optometrists with an unparalleled opportunity to obtain a significant number of their CPD hours in a single day. The conjunction of the two events within the ICC means that delegates can move easily between both at their leisure and, quite literally, enjoy the best of both worlds,” he said.
ODMAFair will be held from 27–29 June while Super Sunday will take play on Sunday 29 June 2025.
