GENEYE 2025 is a revolutionary educational event designed for health professionals dedicated to achieving excellence in eye health provision. Unlike traditional conferences, GENEYE uses immersive learning to focus on the mind, body, and surgical skills required for exceptional care.
With a multidisciplinary team of ophthalmologists, psychologists, physiotherapists, and industry leaders, GENEYE explores rarely discussed yet critical topics that elevate good practitioners to great ones. The event spans three one-day courses, tailored to specific professional groups.
Day one is dedicated to optometrists, medical students, and junior doctors, offering training in high-performance mindset, ergonomics for career longevity, virtual reality microscopy, simulated patient communication, and microsurgical skills like suturing and intraocular lens insertion.
This year days two and three, repeated for ophthalmologists and trainees, will focus on zonular dehiscence – a challenging cataract surgery complication. Attendees will engage in simulated surgeries, practice advanced techniques, and refine pre- and post-operative strategies. These days also include training in high-performance mindset, ergonomics, and wellbeing to support long-term success in demanding surgical careers.
Mixed with a more than healthy slice of fun and connection, GENEYE 2025 will equip participants with the tools to excel in eye health provision, blending innovation and expertise and providing excellent opportunities to network.
