Optical Dispensers Australia (ODA) is calling on members of the eye care community to join the ODA Lifeblood Team, which has been set up to encourage donations of blood and plasma.
The ODA Lifeblood Team is just one of ODA’s initiatives established in the past year to contribute to community health.
Since June 2024, the team has saved 27 individual lives and with each donated unit potentially saving multiple lives, the growing team’s reach is significant.
Whether you are a seasoned donor or considering giving for the first time, join the team and encourage your family, friends and colleagues to sign up as well. You don’t need to be an ODA member.
How to Get Started
Sign up to Lifeblood today or, if you already donate to Lifeblood, log into your account. Next, head to the ‘Teams’ tab in the top right of the screen, click ‘My Teams’, search the name ‘Optical Dispensers Australia (ODA)’ and hit submit. Every plasma or blood donation you make from here on will count towards the ODA team tally.
