Rodenstock will be debuting its next advance in its B.I.G. Vision – B.I.G. Exact Sensitive – at a series of Australian events.
The company said the “revolutionary lens technology combines advanced biometric data with insights into individual visual sensitivity, setting a new standard in personalised vision correction”.
Spearheading the launch will be Dr Alexandra Sipatchin, Rodenstock’s International Product and Project Manager. With over 10 years of research in neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and clinical ophthalmology, Dr Sipatchin earned her PhD in Cognitive Sciences with a focus on neuroscience in 2023 from the University of Tübingen, Germany.
She has held positions at renowned institutions, including the Max Planck Institute, the Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neuroscience, and the Institute for Ophthalmic Research in Tübingen.
Dr Sipatchin will be joining a panel of speakers at the upcoming 2025 Optical Dispensers Australia (ODA) International Conference, to be held in Sydney on 7–8 March. Her presentation will offer delegates a deep dive into the neuroscience and innovation behind this new lens design, showcasing how biometric data and individual perception knowledge are redefining personalised lens design.

In addition to the ODA conference, Dr Sipatchin will also present at Rodenstock’s B.I.G. Exact Sensitive launch events planned for Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. These events will highlight how B.I.G. Exact Sensitive lenses optimise vision flow by considering the interplay of focus and peripheral vision, tailored specifically to each wearer’s unique visual sensitivity, Rodenstock said.
