Nominations Open for ODMA 2025 Awards

Nominations are now open for the Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA) Awards, with a range of new categories.

Winners will be announced on Friday, 27 June, at ODMAFair25 at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney.

ODMA CEO Amanda Trotman said this year the awards have been designed to “ensure the entire industry can participate – from practice window displays to product innovation and exceptional supplier customer service”.

“We’ve also made the process flexible, allowing people to nominate in one category or several, based on their preference.”

“Nominations are now open for the Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA) Awards, with a range of new categories”

Award categories include:

  • Independent Practice of the Year, which can be self-nominated or nominated by suppliers.
  • Supplier of the Year, nominated by independent practices as to what instrument (type and brand) is used in the practice and is highly valued and why.
  • Top Customer Service Team, nominated by independent optical practices.
  • Sales Representative of the Year, nominated by independent optical practices as to who gives the best service to your practice and how they have gone above and beyond to help.
  • Instrument of the Year, nominated by independent optical practices voting for their favourite piece of equipment they are using and why.
  • Versatile Frame of the Year, nominated by independent optical practices.
  • Window Dressing – Best independent practice window dressing – two different window displays are allowed to be entered per practice, and you can supply your own images.

ODMA said once all nominations are received, it will announce voting procedures so the industry can vote.

Voting for the Independent Practice Awards may be adjusted to reflect industry representation in each state, based on the number of practices relative to the estimated total number of independent practices.
