Credabl Launches Green Loans for Healthcare

Specialist medical lender Credabl and the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) are helping healthcare professionals to invest in energy-efficient solutions with the launch of Green Loans. The initiative supports the sector’s transition to a low-carbon future, aligning with Australia’s broader sustainability goals.

Backed by a AU$20 million CEFC investment, Credabl’s Green Loan offers healthcare providers reduced interest rates to facilitate the adoption of eco-friendly assets. Eligible investments include solar PV systems, energy-efficient fitouts, electric vehicles (EVs), EV charging infrastructure, and eligible energy efficient commercial property.

Toward Net Zero

CEO of Credabl Stafford Hamilton, said that by offering reduced rate loans for energy efficient assets, Credabl was “aligning the pursuit of medical excellence with the urgent need for environmental responsibility”.

“This initiative not only reinforces our position as innovators in medical finance but also empowers those who dedicate their lives to healing others to contribute to Australia’s journey toward net zero. This is more than just a financial product; it’s a step towards a sustainable tomorrow combining the support of medical professionals who make a profound impact in their communities, with advancing our collective environmental goals”. 

With healthcare contributing approximately 7% of Australia’s national carbon emissions,1 CEFC Executive Director, Richard Lovell said the green loan product offers a practical way for healthcare providers to improve business sustainability and reduce emissions without compromising the quality of care for patients.

“By adopting energy efficiency options, healthcare professionals can amplify their support for healthier communities and help build more sustainable healthcare systems for the future,” he said.

To support the launch of Green Loans, Credabl has released its Green Report: Sustainable practices for a sustainable practice. Based on over 170 responses by medical professionals, this comprehensive report highlights actionable strategies for adopting eco-friendly practices.
