CR Labs has taken delivery of an automated, state-of-the-art lens coating machine.
According to the company, the new system enhances the lab’s production capabilities, increasing efficiency by an impressive three times the previous output.
For patients, the new system is the “best in engineering technology, designed to deliver superior coating consistency, durability, and clarity”, according to Lab Manager Liam Reed.

Describing the new system as a “game changer”, Mr Reed said that beyond its speed and precision, the new lens coating machine “is also an environmentally friendly solution”.
“It features a unique cascading and filtrating system that saves up to 75% of water, significantly reducing waste and supporting CR Labs’ commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices. This innovation aligns with our goal of enhancing efficiency while minimising our environmental footprint.”
