The Australian College of Optometry is offering a one-day refresher course for therapeutically endorsed optometrists.
Led by a diverse group of industry experts, the one-day course offers a curated mix of therapeutically focussed topics to enhance optometry practice.
Sessions include an overview of the newly approved treatment for geographic atrophy, transient visual loss symptoms, insights on combining atropine with contact lenses for myopia control, as well as strategies for managing complex dry eye associated with autoimmune disease.
Interactive discussions will focus on determining timely referrals for further medical investigations and update on modern prescribing practices. This programme ensures optometrists stay current with evolving treatments, patient-centred care, and best practices in therapeutic management.
The in-person event will provide optometrists with over half of their required 10 hours of therapeutics CPD and 7.25T CPD points, including 3.5 interactive points.
