CooperVision ANZ has expanded its warehouse facility in Torrensville, South Australia, marking a 65% increase in capacity to support continued growth across Australia and New Zealand. This expansion forms part of the company’s multi-year investment in the region to meet growing demand, navigate increasing complexities in its operating environment, and maintain its commitment to service.
The expansion further reinforces CooperVision’s commitment to the region’s optometry sector through smarter infrastructure, faster fulfilment, and continued investment in local capability.

“The Torrensville site is our central hub for customer service and distribution across ANZ, and this expansion ensures we can keep pace with growing demand while delivering even better outcomes for our customers,” said Sam Ng, CooperVision APAC, Head of Distribution. “It’s a strategic investment in operational excellence, designed to scale with us as we grow.
“Importantly, the project has also delivered upgraded workspaces and improved rest amenities for our team, reflecting our commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive working environment.”
Set for Automation
CooperVision’s expanded warehouse leverages advanced Voice Pick systems and real-time inventory control across more than 40,000 SKUs. The layout redesign supports faster, more accurate order processing and sets the foundation for future automation. The facility also generates solar energy.

All contractors engaged for the project were South Australian-based, reflecting CooperVision’s commitment to local business and regional growth. The expansion was completed in just three months, ahead of schedule, with zero disruption to service levels.
Michelle North, CooperVision ANZ General Manager said the project is part of CooperVision’s broader strategy to strengthen its ability “to adapt and thrive in Australia’s evolving healthcare landscape”.
“By investing in local infrastructure and partnerships, we’re building the foundations for long-term, sustainable growth,” she added.
The expanded warehouse, officially opened on 7 May 2025, and is now fully operational.
