Members of the public are invited to attend the launch of SeeWay, an initiative of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, designed to support people with low vision/permanent changes in their vision.
SeeWay is Australia’s first comprehensive service for people with moderate low vision. By providing essential resources, guidance and psychological support beyond the consultation room, it helps individuals with low vision maintain independence and quality of life as their vision changes. This is a group that often falls through the gaps, as they may not qualify for traditional funding and services.
SeeWay is asking eye care professionals to help build awareness of this new service by encouraging patients with, or at risk of, low vision to attend the launch
Complementing Your Care
SeeWay is asking eye care professionals to help build awareness of this new service by encouraging patients with, or at risk of, low vision to attend the launch.
During the evening, hosted by Australian paralympic athlete Jessica Gallagher, they will find out about how SeeWay can complement the care provided by their eye care professionals. Additionally, they will be introduced to SeeWay’s digital companion, an interactive resource specifically developed for its members, and hear about SeeWay’s digital skills training and mental wellbeing support services.
