Opticare has appointed Craig Johnston as its new National Training and Development Manager. With over four decades of experience in optics, Mr Johnston is tasked with “ensuring consistency across every training touchpoint”, including product knowledge and dispensing confidence for customers, as well as in-house team development.
Mr Johnston joined the industry in 1983 as an apprentice optical mechanic. He spent 18 years dispensing in optical retail, and went on to join HOYA Lens in 2000, eventually becoming Queensland State Manager, ANZ Lens Specialist, and National Trainer, delivering both internal and external education across the region.
In 2016, Mr Johnston became National Sales and Marketing Manager for ANZ at Younger Optics.
In a statement, Opticare said the engagement of Mr Johnston “is a testament to Opticare’s 360° approach to helping your optical business thrive”.
