Heidelberg Engineering has announced the newest Anterion software update with the introduction of the ‘Cataract App Key Measurements Export’, showcased at the 43rd Annual Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The company said the export function strengthens the role of Anterion as a central anterior segment diagnostics and biometry platform by offering cataract and refractive surgeons more efficient integration into their clinical workflow.
The new Key Measurements Export enables the transfer of essential biometry data from the Cataract App in DICOM format, supporting interoperability with electronic medical records, intraocular lens calculation software, and other DICOM-supported third-party applications.
It also automatically generates a Cataract Key Measurement Report in PDF stored in the patient record within Heyex 2 – Heidelberg Engineering’s platform for image management and device integration.
Announcing the release, Heidelberg Engineering said these functionalities reduce manual data entry, simplify processes, and improve workflow efficiency.
