Skye Cappuccio, Chief Executive Officer of Optometry Australia, will step down from her role at the end of 2025 after more than a decade of service to the organisation, including the past three years as CEO.

Optometry Australia President, Theo Charalambous, said the Association was “immensely grateful” for everything Ms Cappuccio had done for the organisation and its members.
“She has been a strong advocate for the profession, integrally involved in securing the removal of the Medicare fee cap and new Medicare items, and has overseen the evolution and expansion of valued services for members. Most recently, she has guided the operational integration of three state divisions with national operations, enhancing efficiency and maximising value for members.”
Mr Charalambous said the Association has “passionate, skilled and experienced staff, and is in a strong position”.
Ms Cappuccio said, “It’s been a privilege to work with such a dedicated team and for such a dedicated profession.”
