Health professionals are being urged to spread the #LoveYourEyes campaign message ahead of this week’s World Sight Day on 9 October.
The focus of this World Sight Day is taking eye health to decisionmakers, with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) encouraging vision screenings in parliaments, legislative buildings, or other places where influential people work.
The IAPB will use World Sight Day to launch an international petition, calling on global decisionmakers to act on eye health. The survey will open on 9 October and close on 11 October.
Social media campaign assets – promoting the #LoveYourEyes message for general audiences, for children, and for workplaces – are available for free download from the IAPB website.
