Optical Dispensers Australia has launched a training program to prepare candidates for work within the optical industry. ‘Introduction to Optics’ is suited to new employees or existing team members who have not yet undertaken the Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing qualification.

The program, which is offered online and is also available face-to-face, offers candidates the necessary technical and customer service skills needed to work as an optical assistant or begin a career in optical dispensing. It will enhance their skills, knowledge, confidence and productivity, ensuring they are capable of effectively contributing to a practice environment from day one.
The full program includes a nationally recognised unit accredited by ACOD (RTO: 45068) BSBCUS301 – Deliver and monitor a service to customers, which can be credited towards further future learning, such as the Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing course. An ODA certificate of completion and BSBCUS301 statement of attainment accredited by ACOD will be awarded on successful completion of the program.
Pre-Employment Training
Additionally, ODA is offering a government endorsed, pre-employment training program for people looking to gain employment within the industry. This is currently being offered face-to-face in various states in collaboration with the Sarina Russo Group.
