An exclusive flagship store LINDBERG By The Eye Piece – has opened at 200 George Street in Sydney’s central business district.
Owned by Paul Lee and Taeyon Kim, half of The Eye Piece has been dedicated to Australia’s first LINDBERG boutique, creating a “store within a store” that showcases the Danish eyewear house’s world-renowned craftsmanship.
Faithful to the principle of “design without decoration,” the store’s interior and furnishings are entirely designed in-house by LINDBERG, ensuring an authentic expression of its DNA.

Every detail balances functionality, elegance, and warmth. Large floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interior with natural light, while ‘Tailormade 2.0’ cabinets in white and smoked oak display the full eyewear portfolio. Adding a one-of-a-kind artistic dimension is a custom art piece exclusive to this Sydney store. This unique piece is crafted from brown brass and extends from the wall, casting the word ‘design’ in an abstract form that embodies LINDBERG’s philosophy of integrating material, form, and meaning.
Pietro Scognamiglio, Head of Australia Pacific for Kering Eyewear, which distributes LINDBERG, was in Australia for the official opening of The Eye Piece on George Street. Speaking to guests he said establishing the first LINDBERG store “in this part of the world” was “a significant milestone”.
With over 300 LINDBERG frames and sunglasses on display, he said the flagship was an opportunity to introduce the brand to Australian consumers in a way that would enable the market to “understand what’s special about LINDBERG frames”, and “how unique we are in this market”.
Welcoming guests to the store, Mr Lee said the partnership with LINDBERG was “almost like a dream come true”.
Observing that the LINDBERG flagship had been planned over almost 18 years – since he first began retailing the brand – he said the dedicated space “just represents what LINDBERG is. It’s a curated experience, allowing our clients to explore the full breath of the LINDBERG collection.”
While the extensive LINDBERG collection takes up half of The Eye Piece’s floor space, the second half offers a range of other luxury brands including Chanel, Chrome Hearts, Cutler and Gross, Tom Ford and Tom Ford Icon, Maui Jim, DITA, ic! Berlin, Moscot, Face à Face, Oliver Peoples, and Essilor Vision Centre.
