Michele Ginocchietti
Michele Ginocchietti has been appointed Head of EssilorLuxottica ANZ.
An experienced business leader with a strong academic background, Mr Ginocchietti’s professional career spans technological innovation, operational excellence, commercial strategy, and the luxury fashion sector.
He has worked within the Group across global and regional roles for 12 years.
In a statement, Mr Ginocchietti said he was “truly excited to embark on this new journey in ANZ”.

Mr Ginocchietti said leveraging opportunities across EssilorLuxottica’s core pillars –eyewear, vision care, audiology, wearables, and med-tech – would be essential to capitalise on the region’s immense potential.

Mr Ginocchietti joined the Group in 2014 as Luxottica Global Wholesale Sales Development Director, before relocating to Hong Kong and then Shanghai. Over the following seven years, he held different senior roles where he successfully drove business growth and reinforced the Group’s market leadership in Greater China. Previously, he occupied pivotal roles at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (now Stellantis Group) and Ferrari SPA. Mr Ginocchietti holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and a degree in Computer Science and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Perugia.
