Vision Eye Institute Seeks Optometrist Feedback

Vision Eye Institute (VEI) is inviting optometrists and other primary health providers to take part in a national survey aimed at improving patient care and strengthening collaboration across the sector.

The 2026 Referrer Feedback Survey seeks input on service delivery, referral processes, continuing professional development (CPD), research opportunities, and clinical support. VEI said the feedback will guide improvements across the patient journey and help refine how it works with referrers.

VEI has previously used insights from its Shared Vision surveys in 2018 and 2022, which together received around 1,500 responses, to implement a number of operational changes. These included the rollout of the Oculo platform for electronic referrals, expanded CPD offerings through webinars and in-person events, and the digitisation of patient registration and admission processes.

The survey is open to all healthcare professionals involved in primary eye care and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous.

VEI said the feedback will guide improvements across the patient journey and help refine how it works with referrers.

The survey closes at 5 pm (AEST) on 8 May.
