Eyecare Plus Entrepreneurs’ Club Summit 2026

Marketing, artificial intelligence, and investment in growth – these were just some of the topics explored at this year’s Eyecare Plus Entrepreneurs’ Club meeting in Cairns.

The Eyecare Plus Entrepreneurs’ Club is an exclusive group of Eyecare Plus members, each of whom has committed to working on a project that will enable growth and innovation, while providing peer support.

Established in 2025 to foster further collaboration across the membership, each year members apply to be part of the ‘Club’ by proposing a practice improvement project. The successful applicants then spend the following 12 months working on their project. Regular sessions with other club members provide peer support, helping members develop and refine their projects, overcome challenges and gather valuable feedback. This culminates in a face-to-face Entrepreneurs’ Club Summit during which the members present their project outcomes, sharing insights and successes.

This year’s Entrepreneurs’ Club Summit took place on the last weekend of autumn, with 40 Eyecare Plus members and guests gathering in balmy Cairns at the Peppers Palm Cove resort.

Club members presented on a diversity of projects that included marketing, investing for growth, artificial intelligence adoption, and succession planning.

Additionally, Eyecare Plus strategic partners HOYA, CooperVision, and Marchon contributed with presentations and support.

Incoming Eyecare Plus General Manager, Lily Wegrzynowski said the strength and value of Eyecare Plus membership is the collaborative nature and willingness of members to share their business ideas and ways to improve with their colleagues. And the Summit builds on this by providing focused opportunities for growth and personal connection.

“In any member organisation, the bonds are built through connections with like-minded colleagues, and social events play an important role in creating that sense of belonging. Our members were fully engaged, learning from one another and having fun,” said Ms Wegrzynowski. “It reinforces what is possible when independent practices collaborate. It is a community.”

She said the wealth of knowledge shared at the summit will be presented to the entire Eyecare Plus group, enabling all members to benefit.

Eyecare Plus Entrepreneurs’ Club will be seeking applications soon for the next Summit in 2027.
