Ocelot Plus PMS Launched

Ocelot Plus, a platform built by eye care professionals for independent optometry practices, is now available. 

Australian owned and hosted, Ocelot Plus combines modern cloud-based workflows with decades of local industry experience across optical practice operations, supply, mentoring, coaching, and business support.

“We’ve spent years inside independent optometry across multiple parts of the industry,” said George Nasser, Co-Founder of Ocelot Plus. 

“As suppliers, practice operators, mentors and industry partners, we kept seeing the same opportunity: independent practices needed software that felt more aligned with the way they actually work.” 

The platform has evolved through real-world feedback, onboarding conversations, workflow refinement, and early product testing with local practices helping shape the system around practical day-to-day operations rather than software built in isolation.

From the front desk to the consulting room, dispensing bench and back office, he said it is designed to bring practice operations into a single connected workflow. 

The launch version of Ocelot Plus includes: Clinical records and notes, including behavioural optometry; contact lens management; GP and referral letters; appointments and scheduling; online booking widget; patient records and recalls; a patient portal; SMS and email reminders; dispensing; cash sales / point of sale; invoicing, including Medicare, DVA, and health-fund item coding; inventory and stock ordering; reporting; and web access and data export. 

Michael Nasser, Co-Founder of Ocelot Plus said the launch has been “intentionally conservative, starting with features that have been thoroughly tested by participating beta users who are Australian independent practices themselves”. 

He said development had involved “listening closely to how practices actually operate day to day from the front desk and consulting room through to dispensing, recalls, billing, and patient communication”. 

“We wanted to create something practical, modern and easier to work with, while still giving practices the confidence of premium local support and a team that genuinely understands the Australian optometry industry,” he said.
