Sales Heads Transition at De Rigo Australia

De Rigo has announced significant changes to its team with the departure of Chris Hanley, National Sales Manager, who has been with the business for 31 years. Mr Hanley joined Optyl in 1992 and continued with the organisation through its many milestones and transitions, including mergers with L’Amy and De Rigo.

In a statement, De Rigo described Mr Hanley as a “valued” member of the organisation who “will be greatly missed by everyone at De Rigo Australia”. 

Mr Hanley has accepted a position with Rodenstock as Relationship Manager. In the statement, De Rigo stated, “Bringing with him a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, Chris will undoubtedly be a fantastic asset to the Rodenstock team. We also look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership with Rodenstock in the years ahead.” 

Stepping into the role of Head of Sales at De Rigo is Matt Young, who has worked with the company for 30 years. Mr Young began his optical career in New South Wales before relocating to Queensland. De Rigo said his “deep understanding of the business, customers, and market makes him ideally placed to lead the sales team into its next chapter”. 

De Rigo congratulated Mr Young on his appointment and thanked Mr Hanley for his outstanding contribution over the past three decades
