The international eyewear and optical sector is preparing to descend on Paris as SILMO returns to Paris Nord Villepinte from 25 to 28 September, bringing together close to 34,000 visitors, 950 exhibitors and more than 1,500 brands from 150 countries.
The four-day event will span creativity, innovation, networking and forward-looking discussion, with organisers promising a program designed to set the direction for the industry’s coming season.
More Than 60 Conferences
A packed conference schedule will tackle themes including artificial intelligence, smart glasses, health, retail and corporate social responsibility, alongside the shifting nature of professions within the sector.
Among the sessions confirmed so far:
- Friday 25 September: a session on smart glasses, covering how the industry can understand, anticipate and respond to developments in the category
- Saturday 26 September: a look at predictive and preventive healthcare through the eye, exploring imaging and AI and their role in using the eye as a window into broader health
- Sunday 27 September: a discussion on retail reinvention, framed around the choice to “stand out or disappear”
- Monday 28 September: a session focused on training the next generation of opticians in smart glasses and artificial intelligence

Highlights Across The Show Floor
Several features will anchor this year’s event. SILMO NEXT and its Tech Village will give visitors the chance to test emerging technology first-hand, including smart glasses and AI-driven innovations reshaping the optical field.
The SILMO d’Or awards will once again recognise standout creations in design and innovation, celebrating the talent driving the industry forward, while the Trends Forum will offer an immersive preview of the shapes, materials and colours expected to define upcoming collections.
A 160-square-metre CSR Area will house a materials library alongside start-ups, workshops, round tables and interactive displays, giving visitors a hands-on way to engage with questions around building a more responsible industry.
Elsewhere, SILMO Talks will bring analysis and expertise on market trends and emerging uses, while dedicated Contact Lens Workshops will offer conferences and practical sessions for those looking to build on their professional knowledge.
