Specsavers is recognising the contribution store teams make to patient care, with a series of events, resources and surprises for support office and store team members across Australia and New Zealand, during Customer Service Week (5-11 October 2026).
A highlight will be a presentation by behavioural science expert Dan Monheit, who will discuss factors that influence customer decision-making and service experiences.
The week will conclude with the announcement of the annual Customer Experience Award winner, selected by Specsavers co-founder, Dame Mary Perkins from a shortlist of monthly award recipients in the year leading up to October.
Michaela Cassidy, Head of Customer Operations at Specsavers ANZ, said this year’s monthly recognition program, known as ‘The Specsavers Way’, has celebrated “team members who have hand delivered and dispensed urgent glasses orders to nursing homes, team members who have listened and connected with patients to personalise contact lens training sessions for them, and many other examples of excellent customer care”.

“Every month, we celebrate a store team member who might have made a small act of kindness that meant the world to a customer, gained consistent rave reviews in feedback comments or has gone over and beyond to help customers.
“There was even one team member who rushed to help a customer trapped in her car in a neighbouring parking building, having forgotten her walker. She was supposed to be attending an appointment for a glasses fitting and the team member brought out the equipment and made the adjustments by the car before sending her safely home.”
