iCare IC1000

iCare has announced the launch of iCare IC1000, a handheld tonometer built on the iCare rebound tonometry platform.

The company said the device is designed to bring guided operation to handheld intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement in modern clinical settings.

“iCare IC1000 brings the iCare experience to the next generation of handheld tonometry. By combining trusted rebound technology with guided alignment, patient comfort, and digital workflow capabilities, we are giving eye care practitioners a simpler and more efficient way to acquire reliable IOP measurements in everyday clinical practice,” an iCare statement said.

The statement said iCare IC1000 features an intuitive user interface and an easy-to-follow workflow. GuideCam alignment supports positioning and measurement acquisition, helping operators perform IOP measurements with greater confidence and consistency.

Built for busy clinical environments, iCare said the IC1000 supports Quick Measure, which enables faster IOP acquisition, without the need for topical anaesthesia or fluorescein dye. Single-use probes help reduce procedural burden and support hygiene management.

With iCare IC1000, iCare has also introduced SmartCradle, which it describes as an important element supporting a more connected tonometry workflow. SmartCradle keeps the device charged between uses and supports digital transfer of IOP measurement data, helping to reduce manual steps, and connect tonometry results to clinical workflows where available.
