Tearstim uses patented intense regulated pulsed light (IRPL) technology for the management of evaporative dry eye associated with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD).
Precisely controlled, sequenced light pulses are designed to stimulate meibomian gland function, improve glandular secretion, and support tear film stability. Clinical research into IRPL has reported improvements in non-invasive tear break-up time, lipid layer thickness, and tear osmolarity, alongside improvements in patient reported symptoms.
With a short treatment protocol designed for clinical practice, Tearstim provides eye care professionals with a technology-based option for expanding dry eye management beyond symptomatic relief.
